Most notably, the Packers defense gets a solid matchup for a second consecutive week. After they dismantled a devastated 49ers offense, they get to take on the Jake Luton-led Jaguars. Luton will be making the second start of his career, and given that he struggled under pressure during his first start, Green Bay should be able to force him into some mistakes.

Speaking of which, the Giants will continue to be one of the best offenses to target because of their propensity to turn the ball over (last week notwithstanding). Coming off a bye, the Eagles are well rested and should be ready to cause problems for Daniel Jones like they did in Week 7 (three sacks, three takeaways). They’re only 44 percent owned in Yahoo leagues as of this writing, so they should be a top add for defense-needy fantasy owners.

Further down, the streaming options thin out a bit and the middle of our D/ST rankings are a bit risky. The Titans (vs. Colts) and Seahawks (@ Rams) both could end up creating some turnovers because of the mistake-prone quarterbacks they are facing, but the offenses of both the Colts and the Rams are capable of putting up points and sustaining drives. They’re not the safest options, but you could certainly do worse at the position this week.

If you want to get even riskier, the Lions (vs. Washington) and Raiders (vs. Broncos) have been two of the worst fantasy defenses this year, but they have two of the best matchups. If you’re willing to roll the dice with a boom-or-bust play, they fit the bill. The Chargers (@ Dolphins) are similar, but they could also draw some starting consideration since they’re taking on Tua Tagovailoa, who is still getting up to speed in his return from a brutal hip injury. Had the Chargers played better on defense in recent weeks, it would be easier to trust them.

There aren’t a lot of top defenses to fade this week. You could make the case that the Colts (@ Titans) or Patriots (vs. Ravens) could be worth sitting against very good offenses, but they still have high enough floors to trust if you can’t find good replacements. With only a couple of top-tier streamers out there, it’s better to trust the high-floor defenses if you have them then to take a dart throw on a mid-tier option.
