Yet there’s so much more to The Game Awards than just the awards. One might even say that the awards themselves are not the primary cause to tune in for the show. 10 premieres await viewers, including new looks and announcements from previously announced games and reveals for previously unannounced games as well. Some of these premieres have already been teased, some have been implied based off of The Game Awards presenters, while others yet are rumored just based on previous years’ reveals. Hopefully Geoff Keighley has plenty of excitement in store.

Let’s take a look at the already confirmed premieres for The Game Awards 2015. A teaser trailer released yesterday summarized these, so no investigative work or speculation went into these:
Far Cry Primal Quantum Break Mortal Kombat X - “Who’s Next?” Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Michonne Rocket League
That’s half of the 10 premieres already revealed, but 5 big surprises are left to unveil during the show. Also note that the Mortal Kombat X reveal has already been leaked! An all new 4-character DLC “Kombat Pack” including returning favorites Sektor and Bo Rai Cho, as well as new horror characters Leatherface and Alien’s Xenomorph.
Regarding those five big surprises that The Game Awards has yet to reveal, there are still a number of rumors swirling. And for the other there’s nothing wrong with some healthy speculation. During that same teaser trailer which showed the first five premieres of The Game Awards 2015, several familiar faces were also teases. Note that these people were introduced not specifically as “presenters” but just as appearing during the show. Each one could potentially be tied to a new premiere.

Many of the names on the list are known for their video game voicework, which likely means nothing more than their game is a nominee at the show. That includes Kiefer Sutherland (Snake) Mark Hamill (Joker), Camilla Luddington (Lara Croft), Troy Baker (many), and Shawn Layden (Quantum Break). Others are musical appearances, like Chvrches and Deadmau5. Conan O’Brien and Shaq are celebrities who love (or maybe hate, in Obrien’s case) games. iJustine and perhaps Sjokz (League of Legends) are notable gaming community personalities, but likely aren’t tied to any reveals.
Then we have a handful of perhaps notable presenters who might have an announcement up their sleeve. Reggie Fils-Amie went on-stage at The Game Awards 2014 and showed us The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, which he might just do again. Phil Spencer might just be introducing Quantum Break, but perhaps has something else in store. Shawn Layden is certain to have a Sony surprise for us, but perhaps he’s there for Rocket League. And Jade Raymond, head of EA’s Visceral, might just have a Star Wars game to introduce. Let’s all hope.
A night of huge awards, as well as possible big announcements from all three major console manufacturers? Not bad, The Game Awards. Not bad at all.
