In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will turn to Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, to assist him after the unprecedented reveal of his identity by Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. The new Spider-Man No Way Home clip places viewers directly within the midst of the chaos that ensues after Parker’s identity is outed, creating even more excitement for an already desired film.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home clip was revealed during Holland’s appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers as the press tour continues before the film’s release on December 17th. The video reveals the moments after the mid-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home. As stated, the actions of Mysterio lead to the outing of Parker’s identity, which is intensified more by J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons. The events generate Parker’s actions, carrying MJ away from a crowd badgering her with questions about her relationship to the now outed web-slinger.
The clip offers new insight, but more importantly, provides a total understanding of the film’s direction. Within the clip, the combative J. Jonah Jameson states, “Over time, people looked up to this boy and called him a hero. Well, I’ll tell you what I call him, public enemy number one.” The sentiment of Parker being an antagonist to the public is clear, showcased within the crowd’s indignant reaction. A woman attempts to pull the mask aggressively from Parker’s face, while another individual jumps at Parker as he swings away with MJ. What is also notable is the role MJ will play within this narrative. Her presence with Parker during his outing created a general impression of the two, which hints at the notion that she will be unsafe in public unless hidden.
Other notable tidbits are seen as Parker and MJ swing through the city, such as the Rogers: The Musical billboards. The musical, centered around Captain America, was first introduced in the Disney Plus Marvel series Hawkeye. Fans will quickly notice the image, which will create excitement around the subtle dot-connecting between the two stories. No word has risen of a literal connection, but the tease does build excitement about projects on the horizon.
This new edition of the Peter Parker narrative will bring back the familiar faces of Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and Marisa Tomei. In addition, director Jon Watts will reintroduce viewers to familiar villains from previous Spider-Man projects, which has built even more anticipation for those who followed the development of the franchise since the Sam Raimi Spider-Man days.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
