DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) is the world’s first full-scale mission to test technology for defending Earth against a potential asteroid or comet impact. The mission launched on Wednesday at 1:21 a.m. ET from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. DART’s aim is to demonstrate that a spacecraft can deflect an object that may pose a threat to the Earth. To do this, the DART spacecraft will deliberately crash into a 530-foot-wide asteroid called Dimorphos in September 2022 at a speed of nearly 15,000 miles per hour....

Stranger Things is the heavy hitter, being one of Netflix’s most successful and acclaimed original shows, though it does have a caveat: non-paying customers only get the first episode. The Saw franchise began back in 2004 with the release of the first film, a low-budget horror movie directed by James Wan and written by Leigh Whannell. As rumored and speculated, the Fortnite season 9 event featured an alien creature appearing to seemingly wreak havoc on the map. The creature had a polar castle on top of its head, a single eye, and could far a massive laser blast. However, the creature’s opportunity to cause real damage was short lived as the mech/robot that was being constructed in Fortnite finally went online. Like something out of Pacific Rim, the robot and the monster did battle and eventually the robot claimed victory after brandishing a massive sword and impaling the creature....

A spooky story always seems to start out with a sense of curiosity. This may be why the characters in scary movies keep searching for clues, or opening doors, even though they know that they are walking right into fear. The teaser starts with an almost premonition, presenting the unknown as almost a character in itself. The synopsis of the series reads, “The tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man ( Zack Gilford ) and the arrival of a charismatic priest....
